Covid-19 has led to all face-to-face interviewing being halted and this is having major effects on the conduct of high quality complex general population surveys. Will the crisis irreversibly change how we do these surveys in the longer term, or are we likely to return to the old ways of doing things as if Covid-19 had never happened?
