SRA North

SRA North is made up of SRA members from the North of England. We meet regularly to plan events and catch up with what’s going on in the SRA and elsewhere in social research. SRA North provides networking events, seminars and other opportunities for professional development for people engaged in social research, in any capacity and across a range of organisations, in the north of England.

SRA North welcomes a new chair

georgina culliford

Georgina Culliford is a Research Manager at Qa Research, a social research agency based in York. She has wide-ranging research interests but often works with clients on topics of health and care, as well as poverty and inequality.

After three years on the SRA North committee, Georgina takes over the role of chair from co-chairs Jenni Brooks and Bev Bishop, who have looked after SRA North for several years and overseen the transition to online events over Covid.

In her time as chair, Georgina plans to carve out a vibrant forum for researchers in the North of England. Alongside putting on online and face-to-face events showcasing research and ideas in the North, she plans to create regular opportunities for conversation and connection for social researchers across the region. A resident of Leeds, she's passionate about showing what the North has to offer.

Please get in touch if you would like to be part of the SRA North committee or have ideas for a particular event or networking opportunity. We are always looking for new members to join our friendly committee. Contact: [email protected]
