Quirkos was started in 2013 by qualitative researchers in social health and anthropology to make working and analysing qualitative text easier. It is designed to provide an intuitive visual interface for coding and exploring data, and for enabling participatory analysis. Based in Edinburgh, Quirkos aims to create software that anyone can use for qualitative research and analysis, including interview transcripts, mixed-method surveys or policy and document analysis.
Quirkos was founded in 2013 do develop easy to use software for qualitative analysis. It uses a simple visual interface to keep researchers close to their data, and make exploring and play with qualitative text data engaging. Quirkos is used in more than 30 institutions around the world by qualitative researcher in social science and more.
