About the SRA

Founded in 1978, the SRA is the professional membership body for social researchers.

We are open to all who practice, use or have an interest in social research.  Our members represent the full spectrum of research activity, in academia, central and local government, non-profit organisations and institutes, large commercial research firms, and as independent practitioners and small businesses.

We offer:

Seminars, workshops, conferences and events

Training courses for career development

Research ethics consultancy

Publications and other resources

The SRA is a registered charity and a limited liability company, run by and for members.

Join over 800 research colleagues and become a member of the SRA.
